Last week, twenty-two Scandinavian guests arrived straight from cool Denmark to the expanses of the sunny Kaluga region. We are talking about Holstein cows, which were born on the territory of one of the Danish breeding farms.
Today, cows are getting settled on the territory of the Istye agro-industrial complex. And even though the receiving party, within the framework of the existing state regulation, can provide Danish “emigrants” with only quarantine conditions, the cows feel quite comfortable.
Such information was shared in the administration of the complex. It is important to note that employees of the General Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor in the Kaluga Region met the Holstein heifers.
Together with leading experts of the Zhukovsky Veterinary Station, specializing in the prevention and control of livestock diseases, they checked the condition of the animals and their physical indicators. No deviations or violations were found.
Immediately after the end of the quarantine period, heifers will be sent for diagnosis and vaccinated. Note that Holstein cows differ from ordinary cows in high endurance, excellent productivity and an increased proportion of fat and protein in milk.
These and other characteristics place Holstein cows in the category of highly profitable and most profitable when kept on a farm.
