The lesion site for cows with tuberculosis was recorded in the Kaluga region, on the territory of cattle-breeding facilities of the Khvastovichi district.

Information about the outbreak among cattle was shared by the staff of the Veterinary Committee under the administration of the region.

It is known that tuberculosis affected several animals at once. Unfortunately, it was possible to diagnose the livestock’s infection with a dangerous disease only after the cows were slaughtered, and the veterinary-sanitary service performed an examination of dead carcasses in the laboratory.

Based on the order that was issued by authorized employees of the regional committee on veterinary medicine, the livestock farm in the Khvastovichi district, to which tuberculosis was granted, was described as “dysfunctional” due to the presence of tuberculosis pathogens in the stalls.

And today, the entire territory of the economy operates in accordance with restrictions, which, in the first place, are associated with the implementation of preventive measures for the spread of the virus.

It is also important to add that today farmers of the Khvastovichi district of the Kaluga region act for professional purposes in accordance with a whole range of systematic work to improve the livestock and protect cows and other cattle from infection with tuberculosis.
