In Ukraine, for the first time in the world, a technology was developed for growing, on an industrial scale, a planting material of a new type of garlic.

Scientists around the world have long been working on the selection of "real seeds", or hybrids, to help farmers make the technology of growing garlic more perfect and inexpensive. years old.

This technology is a kind of bridge from the usual planting of garlic with teeth to the planting of a “solo”, which is also called “one-tooth”. Until recently, planting material of this kind was practically absent in Ukraine and in other countries, and was very expensive. Thanks to the invention of modern technology for its landing, the situation was changed.

Over the past five years, Best Garlic has carried out serious experimental work on large sown areas. The farm’s specialists invented their own completed technology: sowing machines, tools and processing tools, harvesting equipment, etc., says Mikhail Soroka, director of the Best Garlic group of companies.

The desired result was obtained this year - Ukraine for the first time in the world will begin to use new technology and a new type of planting material in such an ancient direction as garlic farming.

Ukraine is ideally suited for the introduction of new technology: a favorable geographical location, the presence of good shoot varieties in the country, as well as the seeds themselves, from which later it will be possible to grow “solo”. Garlic “one-tooth” is the foundation that is suitable for founding an industry that can withstand the competition of the world market, added Mikhail Soroka.

"Solo" is in great demand both in Ukraine and in other countries. Currently, 120 hectares are occupied by production. The company plans to fill the market of Ukraine with 500 tons of planting material of garlic, the rest of the production will be exported.
