Leading analysts at the independent Milknews Center analyzed statistics on Russian milk exports for the first five months of this year.
Based on the studies, the experts concluded that between January 1 and June 1, 2019, Russian producers sent two hundred seventy-one thousand one hundred tons of milk to the foreign market. And this is one percent lower than in the same period in 2018.
If we talk about the monetary equivalent of external shipments, the turnover decreased to one hundred and twenty million seven hundred thousand dollars. And this eloquently indicates a drop in indicators by almost four and a half percent.
Analysts of the domestic market do not exclude that the slowdown is due to the fact that Russia has set too low prices for those batches of dairy products that are sent to the foreign market.
It will not be superfluous to note that the main buyers of milk from Russian cows are such states as: Georgia, Ukraine, Abkhazia, Kazakhstan, as well as Mongolia and other countries of Europe and Asia.
Importers of Russian milk emphasize that they are completely satisfied with the quality of the products and appreciate it for its quality and organoleptic characteristics.
