Employees of the meat processing industry of the Republic of Dagestan intend to significantly increase the volume of lamb exports to Iran in the near future.
It is known that a year earlier, Dagestan suppliers shipped over four thousand tons to the Iranian market. If we talk about the all-Russian level of mutton shipments to Iran, then in 2018 their volume exceeded twelve and a half thousand tons.
Now in Dagestan they are considering increasing the sales of mutton to Iranian buyers to six thousand tons. Such information was shared by Emin Shaikhgasanov, who is the deputy head of the republican Ministry of Agriculture.
The deputy minister also noted that in the framework of the national program of international cooperation and export, Dagestan was able to achieve a turnover of six million one hundred thousand US dollars.
Today, the butchers of the republic are doing everything possible to increase the export rate to twenty-six million six hundred thousand dollars in the next five years.
It is known that today the official brand Dagestan Lamb is registered in the region, within the framework of which four companies have the right to produce mutton: Agrosoyuz, Kizlyar Uritsky Combine, Asker Adzhekov's farm and Makhachkala Combine.
