A new milk processing plant is being built in the Kumensky district of the Kirov region. Semi-hard cheese production facilities will be located in Vogzhaly and will begin work in the second quarter of 2020. The deputy chairman of the government, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Alexei Kotlyachkov, visited the construction site, the regional administration press center reports.
The plant will consist of two buildings with an area of 4 thousand m². It began to be erected in the second half of this year. Currently, the first building is already roofed and a second will be built soon. The construction work involves not only local specialists, but also Moscow partners.
It is planned that the company will produce 4-5 types of cheeses, as well as semi-finished products for making mozzarella, which is used in baking pizza, and cheddar cheese.
The main difference between this object and similar is the complete replacement of manual labor by automated. In addition, they will establish a full cycle of milk processing, including the condensation of whey, which remains from the production of cheese, the company said.
550 million rubles have already been invested in the project. Of these, 400 million rubles are the cost of purchasing equipment. It is planned that about 80% of all equipment of the enterprise will be purchased at the Kirov-based Selmash. The launch of the milk processing plant will open 35 new jobs.
According to Alexei Kotlyachkov, 200 tons of milk per day will be processed at the enterprise in Vozhgaly.
