Last year, the company has already planted a blueberry plantation on an area of 75 hectares and received a refund from the state budget, which amounted to 80% of the cost of seedlings.
In 2020, the farm plans to harvest the first berry crop from the above area. For information, the territory where the company has been operating for three years is located near the village of Polozhevo, the Shatsky district.
Volyn Berry intends to plant a 260 hectare berry in three years. The laying of the first area of berry plantations in 75 hectares, made in 2018, was an occasion to report on the work done to the leadership of the Shatsky region, to express gratitude to the people who cultivated the land and planted blueberries, and also announced their plans.
The company plans to grow blueberries in five early, mid-season and late varieties. In the future, the company intends to deal with the processing of berries.
According to the deputy of the Volyn Regional Council Vyacheslav Bogdan, the lands of the Shatsky district are environmentally friendly and ideal for growing blueberries.
