On the territory of Ukraine, foci of spread ragweed in the Nikolaev and Kharkov regions were identified.
Inspectors of the phytosanitary inspection carry out periodic inspections of agricultural and forest areas, places where plants and their products, quarantine plants and the lands adjacent to them are stored and processed.
For the period May 25-31, 2019, at the time of inspection and inventory of previously detected foci of quarantine organisms, the state inspectorate revealed a dangerous quarantine organism - Ambrosia wormwood (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.): in the Nikolaev region (on the lands of 2 regions) on the territory of 86.5 hectares, and in the Kharkov region (on the lands of 2 districts) in the territory of 5.5 hectares.
Based on the results of the phytosanitary examination, inspection acts were established to establish the phytosanitary state, and facts of the detection of the quarantine organism of ragweed were also examined, as well as orders were given to apply phytosanitary measures to it.
These measures provide for the destruction of plants, as well as determine the order of movement of regulatory objects in quarantine zones and beyond.
Earlier it was reported that 3.2 million hryvnias were allocated to the fight against ragweed in the budget of Poltava.
