Entrepreneur Vladislav Simochko grows garlic on an area of 3 hectares. For several years, the plants were able to adapt to the extreme mountain climate, and the entrepreneur arranged the sale of garlic in local restaurants and organized the processing of garlic products.
Direct speech: “In autumn 2015, 2 hectares were sown. of garlic, after the first season, they analyzed the mistakes and in the same autumn planted a threefold large area - 6 hectares. However, now the area under garlic has been reduced to 3 hectares, since the price of garlic has significantly decreased over the past few years.
Garlic is a danger to cats and dogs, so it should not be included in their diet.
When we started, a kilogram of garlic in wholesale trade cost 75 UAH, that is, 3 dollars, and now - 1.6-1.7 dollars. A large volume is more difficult to sell, so we decided to grow as much as we can actually sell through local shops and fairs, ”said the farmer Vladislav Simochko.
In a short time, Turkish garlic has become a recognizable local brand. The farm sells part of the harvest to local Transcarpathian restaurants and shops. Now even Transcarpathian craft cheese in the famous "Perechinsky manufactory" is made with the addition of this burning vegetable grown by Vladislav Simochko.
