Agricultural producers of the Russian Federation express real concern about how young domestic cabbage behaves on the market.

The price of this product is actively falling - every day lower and lower. And farmers believe that soon harvesting early cabbage will simply become unprofitable.

According to market analysts, today a kilogram of early ripe cabbage costs the Russian consumer at least six rubles, and at most nine. And such a price is four times lower than the one that was fixed at the end of last week.

The farmers involved in the cultivation of cabbage say that today the supply of early cabbage crops is many times higher than consumer demand, which forces them to lower prices for this product.

It is important to emphasize that the current value of young cabbage in the Russian market is as much as seventy percent lower than that which was registered a year earlier, in early June 2018.

Operators of the domestic market are confident that the price of cabbage can continue to decline, as supply increases, but demand does not increase, remaining not at a critically low level.
