Starting in 2014, this was reported in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region.
The existence of abandoned land in the region 5-6 years ago was a common occurrence. Since then, more than 350 thousand lands have been returned for processing.
Now in the region, intensive development of previously abandoned and weedy areas continues. Special attention is paid to remote areas where traditional agriculture can be successfully developed.
There are large-scale green areas where there is the possibility of implementing major investment projects, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Andrey Razin shares information.
Recall that from the first days of 2019, more than 30 thousand lands were put into agricultural circulation in the Moscow region. The largest number of plowed lands is located in such settlements as Klin, Stupino, Solnechnogorsk and Shakhovskaya.
For information, 40 million are now abandoned in Russia. It is reported that even in those regions that are considered primordially agrarian, only 5 to 17% of the area is used.
