As of December 1 of this year, there were 3.4 million head of cattle in Ukraine, which is 5.7% less compared to the same date in 2018, as stated in the message of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Of the total number of livestock, dairy cows amounted to 1.86 million. This is 5.1% less than in the 11 months of last year.
In industrial enterprises, the number of cattle decreased by 7.5% to 1.06 heads. At the same time, the number of dairy stock was reduced to 438.3 thousand heads, which is 6.3% less than in the same period of 2018.
At the same time, the reduction in the number of cattle in households in January-November of this year amounted to 4.9% to 2.32 heads. Of these dairy cows, 1.43 goals remained - 4.7% less than the indicator for the same period in 2018.
Despite the apparent slowness, cows can reach speeds of up to 50 km / h.
In industrial enterprises, the increase in cattle stock for 11 months of 2019 was recorded only in the Ternopil region - by 1.6%. In the personal farms of the population of all regions there is only a reduction in the number of livestock.
The statistics do not contain information on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
Recall that the largest increase in milk production among industrial enterprises in January-November this year was recorded in the Ternopil region - 10.4% - up to 79.8 thousand tons.
