The US state of Washington has every chance of becoming the pioneer of the United States on the issue of legalization of the disposal of human remains for composting.
In other words, along with the classical type of burial of the deceased or the cremation of the body, the use of the body of the deceased in agriculture as fertilizer will be legalized.
While this proposal appears in the US documentation only as a bill, however, Senator James Pederson is actively paving the way for this initiative and assures that it is completely humane to “rearrange” the bodies of the dead into bio-fertilizers, following the special technology for decomposing and processing the remains. Moreover, the soil flavored with remains can be transferred to the relatives and friends of the deceased.
Discussion of the project is scheduled for the coming week. Pederson is sure that this initiative will receive a lot of feedback, because, as James assures, many Americans would like to “become a tree”, “be reborn” in a new (plant) incarnation or, after finishing their life, give a chance for a new life, even if it is a particular plant.
