Gardeners from the Moldavian village of Kunicha are determined in everything regarding export of local berries to the Russian market.
Respecting such a grateful buyer as the Russian Federation, Moldavian suppliers seriously intend to send at least 80 tons of strawberries and garden strawberries to the Russian Federation in the next three months.
It is known that in the assets of the producer of berries in Kunich there is at least 120 hectares of land that is used exclusively for growing strawberries. Of these, nearly 80 hectares are occupied by intensive-type berries.Given the totality of all factors, analysts suggest that this season, Moldovan berry farmers from Kunichi will be able to harvest a generous crop of an average volume of 20 tons per hectare. It is noteworthy that almost all of these tons of berries will go exclusively to Russian trading floors.
For clarity, we note that in 2018 at least 650 tons of berries were sent from the strawberry fields of Kunichi to the Russian Federation. The Moldavian berry farmers did not plan to stop there, so this year they intend to increase the supply of garden strawberries four times. It will not be superfluous to note that in the open spaces of Moldova 1.2 thousand hectares are reserved for the cultivation of strawberries. In 2018, the country exported about three thousand tons of garden strawberries to markets around the world.
