The Miratorg agro-industrial holding, which is known to the Russian consumer as a producer of high-quality meat delicacies, intends in the very near future to begin the reclamation of several thousand hectares of land, which the country has long waved a hand at.
We are talking about 47 thousand hectares from different regions of the Russian Federation, including the Kaluga, Bryansk, Tula and Smolensk regions, as well as the Kaliningrad lands. It is known that in the Tula region about 8 thousand hectares will be “reanimated”, in Kaluga they will not be restored and returned to circulation less than 15 thousand hectares, at least 13 thousand hectares will be cultivated in Bryansk.
As for the Smolensk region, there Miratorg plans to develop more than ten thousand hectares of abandoned territories, and over one and a half thousand hectares will be reclaimed in the Kaliningrad open spaces.According to the Miratorg press service, the holding’s administration intends to return the abandoned territories to domestic agriculture in the coming months, since the most active work in this direction is scheduled for 2019.
It should be noted that the meat processing holding company reclaims these lands for its own needs - those plants that are suitable for fattening and grazing farm animals from Miratorg’s assets will be grown on “reanimated” spaces.
It is noteworthy that today the fields on which plants are grown for miratorgovskih cows and other individuals of cattle, provide food for at least 580 thousand animals from 97 farms.
