On the farms of PAP "Agroprodservice" they maintain the productivity of cows, not milking them as much as possible.
This was told by the deputy director of livestock company Boris Rudyuk.
Direct speech: “My approach to maintaining the productivity of a cow is not to squeeze the maximum out of it. If it, for example, has a potential of 12 tons of milk, we milk 10-11 tons, ”he explained. “Then the animal provides high performance for five to six lactations, and we can get the maximum number of daughters from it.”
By the way, a similar concept of the maintenance of dairy herds has already become familiar and has shown high efficiency on many dairy farms in the Czech Republic, Boris Rudyuk added.
According to official statistics, over 10 months of this year, milk production in Ukraine fell to 8.4 million tons.
For information, PAP Agroprodservice, whose production facilities are located in the Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk Regions, is one of the five largest milk producers in the western region of Ukraine.
The company is also on the Ukrainian list of leaders in terms of growth in milk production per cow with an indicator of more than 10 tons per year. The company was founded in 1999 by Ivan Chaykivsky.
