In the village of Omelno, Kivertsovsky district, Volyn region, honeysuckle will be grown. This was reported in the Department of agricultural development of the Volyn Regional State Administration.
The Lada farm has already purchased seedlings in vitro at Vrnitsky FruTek LLC. In the second half of June this year, they were planted in open ground on an area of 12 hectares. Seedlings took root well.
The owner of the farm Vladimir Glushko said that another 18 hectares. plan to plant before the end of this year. Thus, the total berry area will be 30 hectares, and will become the largest in Ukraine.
The farm "Lada" lays 12 varieties of honeysuckle, from early to late. Consequently, the picking of berries on the farm will last from late May to July this year.
It was previously reported that at the end of 2018 in Ukraine there were about 50 hectares. plantations of honeysuckle. Of the domestic producers with large honeysuckle plantations, at the beginning of 2019 there was only one - the Agros Vista company.
Recall that the total gross harvest of fruits and berries of Ukraine in 2018 increased by 60%. Basically, such a high indicator was achieved due to a record harvest of apples last year.
