According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, today, May 23, 2019, Rostov region agrarians managed to sow more than one and a half million hectares of land with different crops from the beginning of the spring season.

More than six hundred and ninety thousand hectares of the indicated area are occupied by grain and leguminous plants, which is about 91% of the plan planned for the current year.

It is also important to add that at the moment, agricultural enterprises in the Rostov Region are massively increasing the area under crops of industrial plants and crops for the production of livestock feed.

For example, the territory of industrial crops sowing today occupies an area of ​​seven hundred thousand hectares, which is seventy-four percent of the planned figure.

Feed plants are planted on lands with a total area of ​​ninety thousand hectares. In this case, there is an overfulfillment of the plan with an indicator of 115%.

It should be noted that the winter crops of the region were fed in an area of ​​two and a half million hectares, while the total sowing area of ​​winter plants in the Rostov Region is 2.6 million hectares.
