Based on the information shared by employees of the state statistics service in the Russian Federation, experts prepared a report on the successes achieved by the meat processing industry in the country from January to May this year.
So, following the information of the Federal State Statistics Service, for the first five months of 2019, the rate of production of meat products increased by more than ten percent, if we take into comparison the data for January-May of the previous year. For the year, Russian butchers managed to increase production to more than one million tons of products.
As for the production of semi-finished products, in this case we are talking about an annual increase in production volumes to almost one and a half million tons. And this is eleven percent higher than in the same period in 2018.
It is also important to note that manufacturers of sausages also did their best - they managed to increase their output to eight hundred ninety nine thousand tons. And even if this is only two tenths of a percent higher than in 2018, the progress is still impressive and gives hope that in a year the indicators will be even more significant.
A spoonful of tar in a barrel of honey in the meat processing industry in the Russian Federation is added to poultry farmers - the production of poultry meat in the first five months of this year decreased by more than five percent compared to the same period in 2018.
And at the end of May 2019, the volume of poultry meat after five months of production amounted to a little less than two million tons.
