Successful implementation of the plan to increase milk production will allow Belarus to reduce production costs and enter the world market with a significant volume and range of export products.
It should be noted that as of last year, Belarus was in the TOP-5 of the world's largest dairy exporters. The country ranked third in butter and dry whey, the fourth in cheese, the fifth in skimmed milk, and the seventh in whole milk.
Currently, 4 thousand 115 farms are operating in the country, the average annual milk yield per dairy cow is 5 thousand kilograms of milk, and the total marketability of Belarusian milk is 90%.
The assortment of products produced by dairy enterprises in Belarus exceeds 1.5 thousand items, of which whole milk products - over 700 items, cheese - about 330, butter - over 30 items.
