Nuts of a certain degree of maturity are suitable for jam, usually it occurs in mid-June - early July. Fruits should be the size of olives. Since the fruits are quite bitter, they must be soaked in water with lime. The lime mixture is prepared as follows: with 3 liters of water, pour 200 g of slaked lime, insist for half an hour and strain through a sieve.
It is necessary to pour the ingredients with such water for 12 hours, then rinse with clean water, pierce each fruit and boil in a solution with alum (15 g per liter of water) in order to remove all particles of lime.Important! - Put it in jam and boil for 20 minutes.
- After cooking, add citric acid.
- Pour the jar on the banks and roll up for the winter.
Important! For nut jam to be beneficial, follow the norm - 2-3 tablespoons per day.
Storage Features
Sweetness from nuts can be stored for 10 months. To preserve all the beneficial properties of jam, it is necessary to place the jars in a dark place with room temperature. Banks should be rolled up in such a way that air does not get inside. It is recommended to store a non-rolled up jar no more than two months.
