Classic recipe for a three-liter jar

- Place the grapes in a jar so that the container is 1/3 full (depending on the size of the clusters, their number may vary).
- Boil water and pour berries with boiling water.
- Cover the containers with metal lids and let stand for 15–20 minutes.
- At the end of the specified time, drain the water into the pan and add sugar. Bring sugar water to a boiling state and cook for 5–7 minutes.
- Pour the syrup back to the grapes.
- Close cans with iron caps. Turn the container over, wrap it with a thick cloth and leave it in this position until it cools.
Important! Do not turn the container with the drink before it is completely cooled! This caution applies to all preservation recipes.

- Boil water and pour grapes over boiling water.
- Cover the container and leave the berries in hot water for 15 minutes.
- At the end of the specified period, drain the liquid from the can into the stewpan.
- Add sugar and citric acid to the water.
- Boil the liquid and keep on fire until the bulk ingredients are completely dissolved.
- Pour the berries with boiling syrup.
- Cork the jar with an iron lid.
- Turn over the container, wrap it with a thick towel and do not turn it over until it cools completely.
With apples

- Remove the grapes from the branches and load them in a jar.
- Peel the apples, cut them into slices and lay them on the berries.
- Add lemon and cloves to apples and grapes.
- Boil water in a pan, pour the ingredients in a jar.
- Cover the container for preservation with a lid and leave for 7 minutes.
- At the end of the specified period, drain the water into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Pour sugar into the container for fruits and berries.
- Pour boiling water over the ingredients.
- Roll up the can with an iron lid.
- Turn the container with the compote upside down, wrap it with a warm towel and leave to cool.
Home storage
The drinks rolled up for the winter are stored in a dark and protected from heat place, for example, in the pantry or on the mezzanine. Shelf life of home compote is up to 8 months.
